Bahía Magdalena

Mag Bay (24 34 70N 112 04 31W)

Environmental conditions: Hot. Enjoyed a snorkel and jumping rays!

Fridge temp: Perfect

Battery state: 13.2V (i.e., perfect)

Euchre score: DNP

We left BSM at first light for a quick 25 miler. We sailed most of the way until entering the mouth of the bay where there was a 2.5-3.5 kt opposing current! Sheesh! Because of this, we decided to cut the trip short and rafted up to the Advance Team on the south side of Punta Belcher. The conditions were phenomenal. The water was clear and calm and there were rays jumping everywhere! We immediately jumped in for a snorkel and Rand attempted to catch dinner with the new spear gun. He was shut out, unfortunately, so T/K had to make us dinner again. After dinner, we broke up the raft-up because of the constant boat wake coming through the anchorage, and hence, there was no euchre this night. It was a quick trip and a short stay in Mag Bay, as we were pushing to make Cabo in time to see Courtney and Spencer. Yay!!

Hey! Great pics! Just realized I don’t have your “regular ole email” so please shoot me that offline. How long will you be in/around Cabo? SJM is headed there in a couple weeks.
